Attack on a ship in the Gulf of Guinea – Captain and 2 Vice Captains kidnapped

The bulk carrier GREBE BULKER was reportedly attacked by pirates on 2 May 0030 UTC at Owendo Anchorage, Gabon, in the Gulf of Guinea.

According to the report by TradeWinds, 3 crew members were kidnapped, including the captain, the second officer and two lieutenants.

The remaining 17 crew members were not injured. The ship arrived at Owendo anchorage on April 30 from Harcourt, Nigeria.

As of 2 May 1100 UTC, the bulk carrier remains in the same position, and AIS is activated.
