A MT reported an attack by one skiff with 6 persons on board. Assaillants shot towards the bridge. The vessel applied BMP WA measures & the skiff aborted its approach. Vessel & crew reported safe.

Bulk Carrier Boarded By Pirates in Gulf of Guinea
Reporting indicates that that the MV ROWAYTON EAGLE has been boarded by pirates 200 NM of the coast of Accra, Ghana at around 0430 UTC, Jan 30. The crew are reportedly mustered in the citadel. She was en route from Canary Islands to Lagos Nigeria.
