Houthis seize 16 crew after hijacking two ships and a rig – UPDATE

On 17 and 18 of November 2019 at position: Red Sea, near Kamaran island, Yemen.

Houthi rebels hijacked two ships, an oil rig and seized 16 crew.

Two of the vessels were South Korean – a tug and a Woongjin Development rig that it was towing. The third was a Saudi Arabian tug, the 375-dwt Rabigh 3 (built 1987).

All the ships have been released, including the 16 seafarers.
